FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The things people ask before their first class.

Before your first class

What should I wear?

Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. For pole classes, tank tops or sports bras are ideal. We recommend shorts for pole fitness (to allow skin contact with the pole) and leggings or sweatpants for choreography or aerial classes.

Please remove all jewellery — including rings, necklaces and bracelets — before class to prevent injuries and protect the poles.

I'm shy — will I fit in?

Absolutely. Almost everyone feels a little nervous at first. Even Robbie, the owner of R.Song Studios, took two years after discovering pole to finally take his first class — after realising that learning from YouTube just doesn't work.

Our instructors are trained to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where everyone cheers each other on. If you'd prefer a more private start, we also offer one-on-one private lessons so you can build confidence at your own pace.

How often should I take classes?

That depends on your goals and schedule. Most of our students take 2–3 classes per week as monthly members, with at least one rest day between pole training days.

For balanced progress, mix in flexibility, strength and flow-based classes to support your pole or aerial practice. Be warned — it's addictive. Many students find themselves wanting to come every day once they start seeing results.

What is the class size?

Classes are kept small so everyone gets personal attention from the instructor.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds on class passes or membership purchases.

For monthly memberships, 30 days' notice is required for any pause or cancellation.

If you are unable to attend due to injury, illness or pregnancy, we'll gladly transfer your remaining balance to future classes with a valid doctor's note.

In the rare case that a class is cancelled due to low enrolment, you'll receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another session.

Can I watch a class before joining?

To protect our students' comfort and privacy, we don't allow class observations. We'd encourage you to book a trial pass or an Intro to Pole class instead — it's the best way to experience the environment first-hand.
